Directly Observed Treatment for Iron Tablet Supplements Consumption Among Female Senior High School Students

Anemia is one of the reproductive health problems in adolescents. The incidence anemia still high Indonesia. Supplementation Iron tablets per week policies to decrease incident. This study aims determine effectiveness implementation Directly Observed Treatment (DOT) for Tablet Supplements. Consumption was observed school students 12 weeks. a quantitative with quasi-experimental design, experiment group being peers as DOT and control guidance counseling teachers. research conducted from July October 2019 Sleman Bantul. Samples used both groups were 70 respondents. Data analysis univariate bivariate. results this showed that at 51.4% before giving iron 34.3% after given. consumption teacher non-adherence drinking tablet only 2.9% by up 31.4%. an effect on difference Hemoglobin levels treatment p=0.037 peer p=0.247.
